Thanks to Playspace, you can wait for the bus on a swing or use a folding table module to turn any street corner into a meeting place with friends. The creative mind behind Playspace is Anna Ulmer. She designed the mobile modules that can be easily transported and quickly mounted on street lamps and bus stations. Anna's goal is to usePlayspace to create new play spaces and meeting places in public spaces. We were so impressed by Anna's vision and design that we chose her project as one of the 10 to receive the Silberstreifen Award 2021.
Anna Ulmer trained as a carpenter and then studied industrial design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts Kiel. She earned her Bachelor's degree there in summer 2020 with the Playspace project and has since been studying for her Master's degree at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts. Anna is currently working on a metal injection moulding solution to make the modules not only more stable and durable, but also to avoid plastic.
